Hi I'm Wendy Murray and I have a passion for helping people solve their dietary problems. As a Dietitian I have always enjoyed working with people to help their health and well being improve through some dietary changes. But for many years I spent a lot of time thinking that part of this meant helping them to lose weight. But through much research and work it is clear that this approach is not helpful and in fact can be damaging for the persons self esteem and can lead to depression, anxiety and stress. Even more concerning is that it may also lead to some or the conditions I am trying to prevent or treat such as heart disease, and diabetes
So what do I offer instead I offer consultations that still look at helping people improve their health but dependant on their health issue the goal may be about reducing symptoms , improving blood biochemistry , long term health or perhaps just feeling good.
